Mosquito is all about giving back. It keeps us grounded and aware of the great need that exists in our world. This year, we were fortunate to be one of 22 teams who sponsored the Great River Race for Student Success. Sporting a 24’ voyageur canoe, we ventured down the Mississippi River—from Hidden Falls to Harriet Island in St. Paul, Minn.—helping to raise $50,000 for the Urban Wilderness Canoe Adventures (UWCA) program.
The UWCA is a unique partnership between the National Park Service, The Mississippi River Fund and Wilderness Inquiry, among other organizations. It provides high-quality outdoor learning experiences for 10,000 urban students each year, including our designated recipient—Patrick Henry High School in Minneapolis. Learn more about UWCA.
